Daily Prayers

Prayer is Love, I want to Love

Jesus Teaches The Lord’s Prayer

Jesus’ Life: Chapter 5 – The Sermon On The Mount

St Francis De Sales once said, “Everyone needs half an hour of prayer each day, except when we are busy … then we need an hour”.

We all need to talk to God, he is our maker and our eternal hope. Jesus said, “Do not babble like the pagans. This is how to pray”:

Title: The Lords Prayer

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day, our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

It’s a beautiful prayer to God our Father in Heaven. In it, we praise his name, seek his help and guidance, ask for forgiveness and forgive those who have hurt us. (Matthew 6:7-15, Mark 11:25, Luke 11:1-4)

Thought

God knows our needs, better than we can communicate them to Him and he loves us dearly. Talk to him often; that’s what good friends do.

Reflection

Lord Jesus, let there be peace on earth as it is in heaven.

Prayer: Happiness (Mother Teresa)

May there be peace within you today.
May you, trust God, knowing that you are exactly where you are meant to be.
May you, not forget the infinite possibilities that are born of faith.
May you, use those gifts that you have received,
and pass on the love that has been given to you.
May you, be content knowing that you are a child of God.
Let His presence settle into your bones,
and allow your soul the freedom to sing, dance, and to bask in the sun.
It is there for each and every one of you.
