Chapter 4 – Jesus’ Ministry in Galilee (Part 1)
Story No. 11 of 26 (Mark 1:32-34, Luke 4:40-41)
Jesus spent the Sabbath morning in Capernaum preaching in the synagogue. Then he removed an unclean spirit from a man and, having gone to Simon and Andrew’s house, he healed Simon’s mother-in-law from a fever.
Yet, his day was far from finished. News of his teaching and healing spread throughout the area and multitudes of people came to see him, bringing their sick, disabled and demon-possessed.
Jesus healed them all.
I hope the people of Capernaum, who saw Jesus’ great works and heard about his resurrection, lived by his teachings, just as I hope that those who hear the same message today, will answer his call.
Lord Jesus, I pray for those who hear your Word that they may come to understand the love in your heart for all mankind.
Lord Jesus, direct them to your forgiveness and healing, fill them with your Holy Spirit.
Prayer: Holy Spirit
Most Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You.
Enlighten me, guide me, comfort me, console me.
I promise to submit myself to all You desire of me,
And permit all You wish to happen to me.
Give me Your help, tell me what to do.
Most Holy Spirit, bring peace to my world. Amen.
