Jesus’ Life: Chapter 5 – The Sermon On The Mount
Jesus often spoke about the immense love of his Father. In his sermon on the Mount He said to his disciples:
“Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks, receives;
and the one who seeks, finds;
and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened”.
Jesus was inviting all of us to passionately seek God, ask Him to fulfil our needs and keep knocking on His door with our prayers; He will answer. (Matthew 7:7-11, Luke 11:9-13)

With such love and God’s will, who wouldn’t wish to receive God’s gifts?
Reflection
Lord Jesus, today I ask you to teach me how to love others, the way you love me.
Prayer: Holy Spirit
Most Holy Spirit, beloved of my soul, I adore You.
Enlighten me, guide me, comfort me, console me.
I promise to submit myself to all You desire of me,
And permit all You wish to happen to me.
Give me Your help, tell me what to do.
Most Holy Spirit, bring peace to my world. Amen.
Praying Daily
I got up early one morning and rushed right into the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I didn't have time to pray.
Problems just tumbled about me, and heavier came each task.
"Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered.
He answered, "You didn't ask."
I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn't show me.
He said, "But you didn't seek."
I tried to come into God's presence; I used all my keys at the lock.
God gently and lovingly chided, "My child, you didn't knock."
I woke up early this morning, and paused before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to take time to pray.
