When Mary Magdalene arrived at Jesus’ tomb early morning and found the tombstone rolled away and his body gone, she ran to tell the other disciples.
When Simon Peter arrived, he went inside and “saw the strips of linen cloth lying there, and the face cloth, … rolled up in a place by itself.” (John 20:6-7)
The greatest event in our history, the resurrection of Jesus, was first witnessed by Mary Magdalene and other women, then by the disciples.
It was a new beginning for humanity.
Risen Lord Jesus, you are the resurrection and life of all creation. Inspire in me the wonder of your almighty love, and power of your eternal blessings.
Prayer: Priests and Religious
St Paul, great convert and Apostle,
guide all priests and religious.
Help them realise that their actions
speak louder than any words.
Teach them to use their talents
to convey God’s message
but, to rely above all,
on the promptings of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
