Extract
Joseph and Mary spent three days searching for the child Jesus.
They found Him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to Him and asking Him questions. “And all who heard Jesus were astonished at his understanding and his answers”.
Jesus said to Mary and Joseph, “Why were you looking for me? Didn’t you know that I must be in my Father’s house?” (Luke 2:46-47, 49)
Thought
Mary kept all these things in her heart but we can safely assume that Joseph, was also similarly stressed.
Reflection
Lord Jesus, strengthen my trust in your merciful love for me.

Jesus Christ, the love that gives love,
You are higher than the highest star;
You are deeper than the deepest sea;
You cherish us as your own family;
You embrace us as your own spouse;
You rule over us as your own subjects;
