Extract
In Jesus’ early ministry, some in the crowds thought He was John the Baptist, Elijah or another Prophet – risen from the dead.
When Jesus asked the disciples who they thought He was, Simon Peter immediately replied, “The Christ of God”. (Luke 9:20)
Thought
Simon Peter’s instant response to Jesus would have been inspirational to the other disciples; such faith and confidence!
Would others think the same of me when they ask me about Jesus?
Reflection
Lord Jesus, may my faith in you never fail me. Open my thoughts to the wonders of Heaven and eternal happiness. Thank you, Jesus.

Our Dear Redeemer,
relying on your promises,
because you are faithful, all-powerful and merciful,
we hope, through the merits of your Passion,
for the forgiveness of our sins,
perseverance until death in your grace;
and at length, we hope, by your mercy,
to see and love you eternally in heaven.
