Invitation From Jesus To Come To Him

Jesus was forever inviting people to come to him. His language was welcoming and warm.

On one such occasion, he said, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest … I am gentle and humble in heart”. (Matthew 11:28-29)

Jesus’ love has no boundaries. Often, our love does!

Lord Jesus, as I journey through today, help me to look beyond my own needs, recognise those who are “weary and burdened” and guide them to your “humble heart”.

Prayer: Perseverance (St Alphonsus Liguori)

Our Dear Redeemer,
relying on your promises,
because you are faithful, all-powerful and merciful,
we hope, through the merits of your Passion,
for the forgiveness of our sins,
perseverance until death in your grace;
and at length, we hope, by your mercy,
to see and love you eternally in heaven.
