Prayer is Love, I want to Love

Jesus Warns Against Temptations

Jesus’ Life: Chapter 9 – The Way To The Cross

Who is most at risk of being misguided in the world?

Jesus, while standing beside a little child, said to his disciples, “If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a huge millstone tied around his neck and to be thrown into the sea”.

Group of Children

There is no doubting the seriousness of such an evil act. Children, most of all, are vulnerable but inquisitive; they seek answers to many questions about God, they seek our daily help.

We must not be afraid to share our faith with others, but don’t misguide anyone. Jesus said, “Whoever obeys [the commandments] and teaches others to do so will be called great in the kingdom of heaven”.

Likewise, when you know that others may lead or draw you into sin, cut them off, withdraw from such unnecessary risks. Severing a conversation or relationship can be very difficult but the alternative is not an option. (Matthew 18:6-9, Mark 9:42-50, Luke 17:1-2)

Thought

God is Love, Sin is Evil!

Reflection

Lord Jesus, guide me in your ways to be a worthy teacher to your children. This I ask through St Joseph, your loving father and teacher while you were a child on this earth.

Prayer: Teach Us (St Ignatius of Loyola)

Teach us Good Lord;
To serve you as you deserve;
To give and not to count the cost;
To fight and not to heed the wounds;
To toil and not to seek for rest;
To labour and to ask for no reward,
Save that of knowing we do your will.
