Chapter 5 – The Sermon on the Mount
Story No. 22 of 29 (Matthew 7:12)
It is said that there are only two ways to do something, right and wrong. Often we use other opposites in our daily conversations such as good and evil or heaven and hell. They all have parallel messages.
One of Jesus’ simple rules of thumb was, “Treat people the same way you want them to treat you”.
So, if you want others to help you – help them, to love you – love them, to trust you – trust them. When you do such things to them, you do likewise to God.
Everyone has feelings, everyone should be respected.
Lord Jesus, help me to be a true example and witness to others of your love for us.
Prayer: Ways to Love
Promise, but don’t forget
Answer, but don’t argue
Listen, but don’t interrupt
Give, but do not skimp
Trust, but don’t dither
Share, but don’t pretend
Enjoy, but don’t complain
Pray, but don’t cease
Forgive, but don’t punish
Speak, but don’t accuse
|Music Suggestion: All To Jesus…|
