Jesus’ Life: Chapter 6 – Jesus’ Ministry In Galilee (Part 2)
As Jesus made his way to Jairus’ home, a large crowd surrounded and followed him. Among the crowd was a woman who had a bleeding disorder. She had suffered from it for twelve years, spending all her money on doctors who were unable to help. Indeed, her bleeding had become worse.
When the woman heard about Jesus, her belief in him was so strong that she knew if she could just touch his clothing she would be healed. The woman approached Jesus from behind and touched his cloak. Immediately, the bleeding stopped and she was healed.
Jesus, feeling power drain from him, turned and asked, “Who has touched my clothes?” His disciples said, “You see the crowd pressing against you and you say, ‘Who touched me?’” As Jesus looked around to see who touched him, the fearful and trembling woman approached. She fell down before Jesus and told him the truth. He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your disease”. (Mark 5:21-43)
Thought
The demands on Jesus were great, yet, he took the time to stop, talk and help others. So must we and when we cannot help, ask Jesus to intercede.
Reflection
Lord Jesus, help me to remain trustful, no matter the difficulty. Amen.
