Jesus’ Life: Chapter 13 – Jesus’ Final Ministry In Jerusalem
Following Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem, He went to the Temple courts. When he arrived, he found it turned into a market place.
Jesus drove out those who were selling and buying and overturned the tables of the money changers. He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house will be called a house of prayer,’ but you are turning it into a den of robbers!” (Matthew 21:10-17, Mark 11:11, Luke 19:45-46)
Thought
Our Churches and places of prayer are a tribute to the Gospel of Jesus, as well as, a home to the Holy Eucharist, His Sacred Body.
Reflection
Lord Jesus, keep us alert to our daily duties and actions. May we avoid the trap of routines without respect. Lord, hear our prayer.
Prayer: Come Holy Spirit
Come Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful,
and kindle in them the fire of Your Divine Love.
Send forth Your Spirit and they shall be created,
and You shall renew the face of the earth.
Oh God, Who by the light of the Holy Spirit
instructed the hearts of the faithful.
Grant, that by the same Spirit we may be truly wise and
ever rejoice in His consolation.
We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
