Jesus told his disciples the Parable of the Fig Tree. He said, “Consider the fig tree and all the other trees. When their buds burst open, you see for yourselves and know that summer is now near; in the same way, when you see these things happening, know that the Kingdom of God is near”. (Luke 21:30-31)
Thought
Summer is a beautiful time of the year. It instils in us the idea of freshness, a new beginning and a time for regrowth.
Each new day is also a gift from God and each new day brings yet more exciting opportunities for you and me!
Will I maximise them?
Reflection
Lord Jesus, help me to rely on your great strength in all my times of difficulty and worry; put aside my anxieties as I place my complete trust in You.
Prayer: Miracle Prayer
Lord, Jesus, I come before you, just as I am.
I repent of my sins, forgive me.
I give you my entire self.
I invite you into my life, Jesus.
I accept you as my Lord and Saviour.
Heal me, change me,
strengthen me in body, soul and spirit.
Cover me with your precious blood,
and fill me with your Holy Spirit,
I praise you, Jesus. I thank you, Jesus.
