Prior to Jesus’ own crucifixion, he forewarned his disciples about their future challenges, sufferings and ultimate deaths.
He said, “You will be hated by all because of My Name. Yet not a hair on your head will perish. By your perseverance, you will secure your lives”. (Luke 21:17-19)
Today, Jesus’ same warnings remain true and sadly, his new disciples continue to be persecuted worldwide for their beliefs, teachings and performing their ministerial duties.
Lord Jesus, you bring comfort in times of trouble and strength when we are down; open our hearts so that our lifelong commitment to you never dies. Amen.
O Most Pure Heart of Mary,
you are full of goodness.
Show us your love.
Let the flame of your heart, O Mary,
descend on all people.
Mary, we love you.
Impress on our hearts, true love,
so that we may long for you.
O Mary, gentle and humble of heart,
remember us in our greatest needs. Amen.
