Jesus said, “I praise you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent, and revealed them to little children”. (Matthew 11:25)
It was probably after the return of the Twelve or Seventy when Jesus loudly thanked his Father in Heaven and celebrated his great power and goodness.
Yet, he also noted that while some had rejected his Gospel, others including the disciples, the humble in heart, those with hearts like children, had accepted it.
Lord Jesus, open my heart to those lost in our material world. Guide me in new ways to direct them to your Gospel. Lord, hear my prayer.
Prayer: Peace (St Francis of Assisi)
Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, truth;
Where there is doubt, faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console;
To be understood as to understand;
To be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.
