Among the many miracles performed by Jesus was the regular casting out of demons.
On one occasion a demon-possessed mute man was brought to Him. Jesus removed the demon and to everyone’s joy and amazement, the man started talking to the gathered crowd. (Matthew 9:32-38)
Unwittingly we encounter many little “demons” in our everyday work!
There is no “casting out” necessary but our strength of will to say, “No or Yes,” is!
Lord Jesus, may we enjoy the power of your Holy Spirit in our work today. Make us one with you through the unseen bond of your grace. Thank you, Jesus.
Prayer: The Lord is My Shepherd
The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want.
He makes me lie down in pastures green,
He leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul.
He guides me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows.
Surely goodness and kindness will follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen.
