Extract
When a paralysed man was brought to Jesus for healing, His first action was to forgive him his sins.
To those who refused to believe that Jesus could forgive sins, He said to them, “Which is easier to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or, ‘Stand up and walk’?”
Then, to prove that He could forgive the man’s sins, Jesus miraculously healed his paralysis and told him to, “Stand up, take your stretcher and go home”. (Luke 5:23-24)
Thought
My daily priority, morning and evening, is to acknowledge my sins and seek the cleansing mercy of Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus.
Reflection
Lord Jesus, open my heart to your presence and love. Cleanse me from my sin and purify my today’s intentions.

O God, you are my God, for you I long:
For you, my soul is thirsting.
My body pines for you
like a dry, weary land without water.
So I gaze on you in the sanctuary
to see your strength and your glory.
